Erwin Koeman has been confirmed as the new coach at RKC Waalwijk, taking over at the end of the season.
RKC announced the appointment with current manager Ruud Brood to Roda JC at the end of the current campaign. Koeman, who is currently unemployed after quitting FC Utrecht in October, managed Waalwijk in 2004-05 and is looking forward to returning to the club. He said: "The management and the people who work there know what they want, they are very clear. "RKC is a warm and friendly club and that is important for me." RKC general manager Joost de Wit meanwhile is delighted with the decision to appoint Koeman: "We chose an established name who can make talented players better. "He is a top coach who fits in well with RKC Waalwijk. He is a person who can deal with pressure and is not easily put out of his stride."
