Russian interest in Toivonen

The agent of PSV captain Ola Toivonen has confirmed reports that the player is wanted by a Russian Premier League club among others.

The Swedish forward, who has been converted to attacking midfielder at Philips Stadium, has seen his name linked with a number of high-profile sides over the last few months, after an impressive campaign that saw the 25-year-old score 18 goals in 33 Eredivisie games. The player was watched by Tottenham scouts as Sweden beat Serbia in their final warm-up game for the Euro 2012 and it appears he is now ready to leave Dutch Eredivisie, with the player's representative explains that they have received an enquiry from a Russian Premier League club.
