Stam open to PSV move
Wigan defender Ronnie Stam has revealed he wants to move to PSV Eindhoven next season in an attempt to find regular football.
The 27-year-old was an ever present for Latics up until February, but has fallen out of favour, making just one appearance in the last three months. PSV had a bid for Stam turned down last summer but the right-back says he'd still be interested in a move at the end of the season, if the Dutch giants returned with an improved bid. "Last summer PSV tried to sign me on loan," Stam said. "They don't do that if I don't want to go. "At that time Wigan didn't cooperate, [which is] too bad. But I still think the same about it." "PSV is a beautiful club, but there are more great clubs. But it would be a great solution for my situation at Wigan," he added.
