Title almost ours, says De Boer

Frank de Boer believes Ajax have "one hand on the title" following a 2-0 victory over Groningen at the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday.

The 30-time champions and current holders sit six points clear of AZ and Feyenoord with only three games remaining. Goals in either half from Derk Boerrigter and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson broke Groningen's resolve and stretched Ajax's winning run to 11 games. "We have one hand on the title. The important thing now is to put the other hand on it as well. We are not completely there yet, but things are looking good for us. We are almost there," said the Ajax boss. Should AZ and Feyenoord draw when they meet next weekend, Ajax will secure the Eredivisie crown with a win at Champions League hopefuls Twente.
