PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mark Van Bommel has revealed he is stepping aside at international level to give younger players a chance.
The 35-year-old has took the decision in the wake of Holland's shock early exit from Euro 2012, where they finished bottom of Group B after losing all three matches, where he was dropped for their final match.
Van Bommel, who joined PSV Eindhoven from AC Milan this summer, has won 79 caps for Holland and helped them reach the 2010 World Cup final, however he also insists that he will be available for international again in the future if required.
"Perhaps there will come a time when the coach needs or wants me in the future. Then I want to be there," he said on www.www.knvb.nl
