Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao says the first goal could make the difference in Wednesday's Europa League final.

Diego Simeone's men face Athletic Bilbao in an all-Spanish final in Bucharest, with many pundits predicting that it could be one of the most exciting finals in recent years with both teams preferring to play open and attacking football. Falcao scored the winner in last year's final while playing for Porto and he believes that, like last year's showpiece, whichever side scores the first goal on Wednesday night will end up controlling the game. "To score a goal in a final is something special," Falcao said. "It happened to me last year but, I have to say, that the important thing is not who scores, but that the team scores. "Anyway, it's true that in a final whoever scores the first goal can control the rest of the game."
