Blues star eyes Reds win

Everton, 10:08, February 1, 2010 ,

Midfielder Tim Cahill harbours hopes of European football next season and wants to pile on the pressure with a win at Liverpool.

After scoring the late winner at Wigan on Saturday the Aussie international is looking for a win at Anfield in the Merseyside derby this weekend to pile the pressure on their cross city rivals in the race for European football next season.
David Moyes' men face a very difficult month in February starting with Liverpool this weekend but Cahill is looking ahead.
He told the Post: "We've had difficult months for the whole season but we're excited about what lies ahead.
"The derby is one of our big games of the season and we're looking forward to it. It's a game we always relish and so do our fans.
"We'll go out there and give everything and hopefully the result goes our way.
"Can we still catch Liverpool? I don't think about that too much. All I know is that they're a very good team and a few points ahead of us.
"We just need to worry about ourselves and try and keep on improving. But if we can get the result against them they might well be looking over their shoulders at us. We're really happy with the situation we find ourselves in now ahead of that game."
