Blues star sets sights on success

Steven Pienaar feels Everton can win silverware this season and believes the Blues should be targeting European qualification.

The South African midfielder sealed his permanent return to Goodison Park this week, after impressing on loan when rejoining the Blues in the January window.
David Moyes had always be keen to bring Pienaar back to the club and having offloaded a couple of squad members, managed to agree a £4.5million deal.
The 30-year-old has high hopes for the new campaign, especially with the way Everton finished last term - reaching the FA Cup semi final and finishing seventh in the Premier League.
Pienaar told the Liverpool Echo: "We've got a strong team. If you see the way we finished last season, I think we were one of the best teams then.
"If we start like that, we've definitely got a chance of winning something and qualifying for Europe."
He added: "It is important to get an understanding going as soon as possible, to make sure the team is functioning as a whole and get the points that will put us up there with the best teams."
