Champions League the target

David Moyes is hoping Everton can keep their early season form going and be in contention for a Champions League place next spring.

Everton looked to be up against it on Sunday when they fell behind to a Junior Hoilett goal and then had midfielder Steven Pienaar sent off after an hour, a decision which did not go down too well with the manager. Everton managed to hold on for a point with just ten men and the boss is delighted to be sat in fourth place in the Premier League."I think we have got a good team and good players, I think we can try and do it (finish fourth)," he said. "It is going to be hard with the competition we have got and who knows, we might dwindle away. "But in recent seasons probably the question that is being asked is can we avoid relegation, so it is nice to be up there and I'm going to be positive about it."
