Chelsea plan swap for Fellaini
Chelsea are ready to use Romelu Lukaku as part of a deal to try and persuade midfielder Marouane Fellaini to move to Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium ace has denied weekend reports that he wants to leave Everton during the transfer window but that will not stop him being linked with a move away and, not for the first time, Chelsea are said to be hot on his heals. Everton are keen to keep hold and are confident they can do it but if they do have to cash in on the player reports claim they will try and take long-term target Lukaku as part of a swap deal. If a swap deal is to happen though it would have to wait until next summer as Lukaku has just begun a season-long loan deal with West Brom which is another reason why a move is unlikely. Fellaini said of the reports that he was going to leave: "I was very surprised to read in some newspapers that I will leave Everton very soon and perhaps next January. "Let me remind you that I am very happy in Liverpool and our start of the championship was good."
