Everton agree Jacobsen deal
Everton, 15:54, August 25, 2008 ,
Everton are on the verge of their first signing of the summer after a deal was agreed with Danish right-back Lars Jacobsen.
The news broke on Monday afternoon after Jacobsen's advisors agreed a deal with the Goodison side to bring him to the Premiership.
Jacobsen spent last season on loan at FC Nuremburg but decided to end his spell in Germany after the Bundesliga outfit were relegated from the top-flight.
Jacobsen is his country's first choice right-back and has made 16 appearances for the national side.
The move is subject to a medical but it is expected to be finalised by Tuesday morning with the player signing a one-year-deal.
Agent Karsten Aabrink said: "I have no comments to Lars Jacobsen's situation, other than that I expect a resolution by tomorrow."
The 28-year-old will become David Moyes' first signing of the summer in what has been a frustrating period for the Everton boss.
