Everton could move for defender
David Moyes has been lining up a replacement for Leighton Baines, if he is to go to Manchester United, and is watching Aly Cissokho.
The Everton boss is ready to make a move for the Lyon full back if, as expected, United make a big money offer for England defender Baines over the next few weeks. The France international is keen on a move to the Premier League and is likely to cost in the region of £6million, less than half of what Moyes is hoping to get for Baines. United chief executive David Gill has opened discussions with Everton chairman Bill Kenwright and a move for Baines could be completed within the next few weeks so Moyes will move quickly for Cissokho. Everton though will face stiff competition for the 24-year-old's signature, with Newcastle, who already have a strong French contingent, also in the hunt for the Lyon ace.
