Funds boosted after striker exit
Everton, 10:35, August 7, 2008 ,
Fulham have completed the signing of Everton striker Andrew Johnson on a four-year deal for a fee believed to be an initial £10.5m.
The England international's switch to Craven Cottage has been on hold for over a week after his medical, but any problems have now been ironed out.
Cottagers chief Roy Hodgson is set to partner Johnson with fellow new arrival Bobby Zamora and has admitted his delight over the latest piece of summer transfer business.
He told the club's website: "I have made no secret of my wish to add Andy Johnson to my squad at Fulham. I believe that he has all the qualities needed to assist us in next season's campaign and I am more than delighted that we have secured his services for the long term."
The transfer is now likely to boost David Moyes' transfer kitty as he attempts to bring in new players before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
