Howard sounds Barkley warning
Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard believes Ross Barkley should reject the advances of bigger clubs and extend his stay at Goodison Park.
Howard isn't surprised to see the vultures circling around the teenage star but he is convinced the player can realise his dreams playing for the Toffees.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are all keeping tabs on the 17-year-old midfielder, who has made a big impression for Everton in his five first team appearances this season.
Talks are ongoing with Barkley to tie him down to a new deal and Howard is keeping his fingers crossed that he will sign it.
The American stopper told the Daily Star Sunday: "The one thing we've always had is bringing through young players and we've got a fantastic manager who is very shrewd in the transfer market.
"Ross is a talent. He's another in a long line and we hope he can thrive here and live out his dreams with us.
"He needs to be insulated with people who believe in him.
"The sky's the limit for him. Now he needs people who will tell him the right things and keep his feet on the ground."
