International ready for Goodison move
Rennes midfielder Stephane Mbia has reiterated his desire to join Everton now that he has returned from the Olympics.
The Cameroon international demanded to be allowed to move to Goodison Park earlier this month and claimed he was the subject of an offer worth around £5m.
One stumbling block to any deal is that the defender appears to have returned from China with a knee injury which needs a scan and there is little chance of a move being completed whilst he is injured.
"I haven't changed my mind, I want to join Everton," Mbia said in L'Equipe. "We are still in contact. I hope now that Rennes will accept to enter into negotiations with this English club."
He added: "I don't want to let this chance go by."
