Johnny set for Turkey

Everton centre half Johnny Heitinga looks set to join Turkish giants Fenerbahce in a £5million deal within the next few days.

It was widely expected that the Turkish club were going to make a permanent move for Joseph Yobo who they have had on loan for the past two years but, although that may still happen, they appear to have turned their attentions to Heitinga. The 28 year-old is heading into the final year of his contract at Goodison Park and £5m would be hard to turn down if it were to be offered as David Moyes tries to cobble enough money together to finance his own purchases, Moyes wants to buy Steven Pienaar back from Tottenham but is finding it hard to find the money, but the sale of the Dutch centre half would change that while if he could offload Yobo at the same time he would have more to spend on targets.
