Lescott wants goals shared around

Everton, 10:02, November 14, 2008

Joleon Lescott says Everton must continue to spread the goals around if they are to stretch their winning run.

The Blues are in fine form, winning their last three games ahead of Sunday's clash at Goodison Park with Middlesbrough.

Defender Lescott says confidence is high in the side but he insists everyone must share the responsibility of getting the goals so Everton can continue their recent good form.

"We are confident in every game really, no matter who is playing," he said.

"I think we relied on the forward players a bit too much early doors to get goals. Now I think everyone is chipping in."

He added: "But it's not just in terms of goals. We have got Mikel (Arteta) tracking back to work in the final third and that helps. It all goes to breeding confidence."
