Midfielder deal rests on sale

Reports claim Everton will only be able to afford a permanent deal for Steven Pienaar if they manage to offload Joseph Yobo first.
Turkish club Fenerbahce are keen to land Yobo but so far it has been difficult to agree a permanent deal for the 31-year-old Nigerian, who has been with the side for the past two years on loan. South African midfielder Pienaar has agreed his terms to return to the club from Spurs, but Everton need the £2.5m from the sale of Yobo to push the deal through. Everton remain hopeful that all will go to plan over the next few weeks, but the fact that the Yobo money is needed seems to indicate the restrictions that boss David Moyes is working under.
