Everton defender Leighton Baines says he expects David Moyes to sign his new contract at the club soon.
Baines denies the delay has affected the players at Goodison Park despite a poor start to the campaign but he, like everyone else at the club, will be pleased to see him put pen to paper on a new deal.
"We're still doing the same things daily on the training ground as last year and it's pretty much the same bunch of players," Baines told Sky Sports News.
"There have been a couple of ins and outs, but apart from that there's not been much change, so it is difficult to pinpoint any particular reason.
"I don't think the manager's contract has any bearing on it because it's not anywhere near anyone's mind when you step on the pitch.
"It's the manager's business to do it when he's ready. If it can be before the weekend as it's been talked about, then great.
"But, whether it is done or not, I don't think it will have any effect on how we perform when we go out there to do our job."
