Moyes wants board backing
Everton boss David Moyes has pleaded with the board to back him with enough cash in the summer so they can progress as a club.
Moyes's men have again over achieved in the Premier League where they currently sit in seventh, sandwiched between Chelsea and Liverpool who have both invested massive amounts on their squads compared with Everton.
The boss wants the backing at the club so that he can keep a pace with his rivals and possibly jump ahead of them.
Moyes, who increasingly gets linked with more high profile jobs in the Premier League, said: "If you can do your recruitment early it makes a big difference to your group and gives them a chance to bed-in and you get better results sooner.
"We were able to get some in January which made a massive difference."
