Race on for striker

Everton, 09:48, November 24, 2010 , | 1 Comment

Everton are set for a battle with neighbours Liverpool for the services of Roque Santa Cruz of Manchester City.

The Paraguay international is looking for a move away from Eastlands as he is struggling to get into Roberto Mancini's first-team squad let alone the final XI, and a move looks to be on the cards.
Everton have been misfiring in front of goal this season and David Moyes is likely to try and strengthen his front line when the window opens in the new year.
Moyes will not have it all his own way, though, and he faces a battle with Roy Hodgson for Santa Cruz, who also wants to strengthen his attack and there will be others interested in the 29-year-old striker.

Where do you get this rubbish? Evertons relationship with City is awful. If City want any type of fee we will not be in a position to pay it and if liverpool are genuinely interested they can still offer him European football. We have no chance of securing this lads signature
