Rennes' reveals Toffees interest

Everton, 09:37, June 11, 2009 ,

Rennes' general manager Pierre Dreossi says Everton want to sign Stephane M'Bia, but they will face a fight for his signature.

The Toffees have been heavily linked with the 23-year-old Cameroon international midfielder in the past year and it seems boss David Moyes is desperate to get him on board this summer. And, while Dreossi claims the Merseysiders are interested in M'bia, he also revealed that talks are at a very early stage and other clubs are also interested in the player.
"For the moment we haven't had advanced contacts on this deal," he said.
The promising news for the Toffees is that Dreossi has admitted that M'bia, who has made more than 120 appearances in five seasons with the French outfit, can leave if a club meet their £5-6million asking price.
