Rodwell commits to Everton
Jack Rodwell has ended the speculation surrounding his own future by signing a new five-year contract with the club.
Premier League big guns Manchester United and Chelsea were said to be very interested in the 19-year-old and were both preparing bids for the youngster in the region of £15m.
At the same time David Moyes and chairman Bill Kenwright were very keen to tie him down to a longer deal at Goodison Park and they have got their wish with Rodwell signing a new five-year contract.
Rodwell only signed a new five-year deal back in February last year but due to his progress and interest from other clubs, Everton have rewarded him with an improved deal which is said to be worth around the £30,000-a-week mark.
