Everton defender Phil Jagielka has warned Wayne Rooney he could be in for a torrid time at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The England striker has been all over the front pages of the papers for the past week following allegations about his private life and the fact that this has coincided with a return to Everton, where he has not been forgiven for his exit to United six years ago, could lead to a difficult afternoon.
Asked if Rooney would be "slaughtered" in the light of recent allegations, Jagielka said there was a good chance, he said: "He normally gets quite a bit of stick anyway. I can't see that changing on Saturday."
The defender said he hopes the abuse does not go 'over the top' but he is looking forward to the clash, he continued: "Up on Merseyside he normally gets a little bit of stick and I'll be giving him a little bit as well if he plays on Saturday."
