Spurs accept Toffees' bid

Everton have reportedly agreed a fee with Tottenham over the signing of former midfielder Steven Pienaar.
The Toffees have been looking to re-capture the 30-year-old South Africa international, who departed Goodison Park for White Hart Lane in a £3million deal in January 2011, for most of the summer. Pienaar spent the second half of last season back at Everton on loan, having failed to secure a regular first team place at Spurs, and he impressed with four goals in 14 games. And, despite Andre Villas-Boas replacing Harry Redknapp in the Spurs hot-seat this summer, it appears that Pienaar has been given the green light to return to Merseyside on a permanent basis to continue his career with David Moyes' side, who he initially joined up with in July 2007. If Pienaar does re-join the Toffees he will become Moyes' second summer signing following the arrival of Steven Naismith.
