Falkirk close in on new boss
Falkirk, 15:55, June 16, 2009 ,
Falkirk are set to name Eddie May as their new boss this week and Steven Pressley as his assistant.
May has impressed as head of the club's academy and has received the backing of the board to take the top job following John Hughes' departure to Falkirk.
Pressley had been linked with the manager's job himself but his lack of experience reportedly means he will only be May's number two when an official announcement is made.
The Bairns say they hope to confirm the identity of their new management team by the end of the week and a club statement read: "Negotiations are ongoing in the appointment of the new Falkirk manager.
"We hope to be in a position by the end of this week to announce the appointment of the new manager. The club have taken their time in making this appointment and will not be rushed into a decision.
"The club will only announce the appointment once all appropriate negotiations have been confirmed."
