May fumes at Falkirk display
Falkirk, 14:08, January 25, 2010 ,
Eddie May was critical of his Falkirk players following their 4-1 defeat to Dundee United saying the performance was "unacceptable".
A hat-trick from Jon Daly and a goal from David Goodwillie inflicted a heavy defeat on the Bairns, who remain bottom of the SPL - one point behind Kilmarnock.
May was less than impressed with the display and urged the Falkirk squad to raise their levels, but admits it is down to him to get them playing again.
The manager said: "To be a professional football player, you've got to have desire and hunger. It just wasn't acceptable.
"It's my job to try and get it right. People say we've come a long way, but we've slipped back a long way after that performance."
