New boss search hots up
Falkirk, 14:45, June 11, 2009 ,
Falkirk managing director George Craig has admitted the Bairns want to make a quick appointment as they search for a new boss.
John Hughes' departure to take over at Hibernan has left Falkirk manager-less but Craig says the club are now actively looking for his replacement.
The Bairns are facing one of their most important ever pre-season campaigns with the European qualifying game set for July 16 and the club are well aware a new man needs to be in charge soon.
Craig told The Herald: "There is a lot of uncertainty around the club at the moment, which has been increased by John leaving.
"We have one of the most important games in the club's history on July 16 and we are fully aware of the responsibilities we have got.
''We have to act together quickly and get cracking.
"Obviously we want to get someone in as soon as possible but they have to be the right person as well."
Falkirk are being tipped to name a rookie manager to replace Hughes, with Steven Pressley among the names mentioned so far.
