F1 hopefuls Stefan GP have reportedly signed Indian GP2 driver Karun Chandhok as they bid for a spot on the 2010 grid in Bahrain.

The Serbian team's owner Zoran Stefanovich wants the government-backed team to be a 14th entry for the new campaign amid doubts over whether either of the new teams, Campos Meta and USF1, will make it to the grid next month.
F1 commercial rights controller Bernie Ecclestone said he did not expect either Campos Meta or USF1 to be on the grid for the first race of the season.
Stefanovich said: "We think [expanding to 14 teams] is the best way to solve the problem."
Stefan GP are testing for the first time in Portugal later this month with former Williams driver Kazuki Nakajima expected to be behind the wheel in the the 2010-developed cars which they bought from the former Toyota F1 team.
Chandhok, who has spent the last three seasons in GP2, during which he scored two race wins, has reportedly brought six million dollars of funding to the team in return for the drive.
