Kimi Raikkonen is hoping for hot weather in Hungary this weekend as he bids for his first F1 race victory of the season.
The Lotus star has so far secured four podium finishes in 2012 in what has been a fairly impressive return to the Formula 1 circuit for the Finn. He was promoted to third in Germany on Sunday after Sebastian Vettel was demoted following a time penalty and he has targeted a victory in Hungary on Sunday. Raikkonen, the 2007 F1 world champion, believes his Lotus car will perform best in hot race conditions and is keeping his fingers crossed for high temperatures at the Hungaroring. "The team has been working hard in developing our car and we are confident we should be competitive in Hungary," he said. "Usually we have a hot weekend at the Hungaroring, and that's what we have been looking forward to during the whole summer. "It's never nice to go to media after a race without a win. I love to win, not to explain why we were not able to win. Hopefully we can get the result we are looking for."
