Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko believes his team will not be affected by the ruling on their car's design ahead of Canadian Grand Prix.
The defending world constructors' champions have been told by the FIA that they are not allowed to use holes in the floor near the rear wheel of their R8 car. Now the positioning of the holes has been made illegal in the rules of the competition and the Milton Keynes-based outfit have revised their designs ahead of the Canadian GP next weekend. With Mark Webber claiming the chequered flag in their last outing at Monaco, there have been questions rasied on whether the new design will affect Red Bull's preparations ahead of the race in Montreal. However Marko is confident the changes will have no impact on the defending champions. He told Autosport: "We had not planned to use this floor in Montreal anyway. "We had prepared a different configuration using a flat version of the floor. Therefore we do not need to modify the cars in Canada."
