Schummie wary of Ferrari might

Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher believes Ferrari will be the team to beat in F1 this season after impressing in testing this week.

The 41-year-old, who is set to make his return after having been away from the sports for three years, was more than a second slower than Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa in testing in Barcelona and the pair look to be in good shape for the first race on March 14.
The driver who has won the first grand prix of the season has gone on to win the drivers championship since 2006 and Schumacher believes his old team will be the ones to beat come Bahrain in two weeks.
"Felipe [Massa] and Fernando [Alonso] look the target," said the seven time world champion.
"Ferrari have done very good testing and things look good. I know them and there are good reasons to be happy."
Schumacher went on to explain his earlier comments after saying that his side Mercedes had no chance of winning the first race, claiming that he doesn't feel the opening grand prix of the season is as important as people are making out.
"I did not only say this on Friday - I said this right away from the beginning that we might not be in a position to win the first races," he added.
"But that is not really important as you have to win by the end of the season and not the beginning."
