Andresen gives exit reasons
Fulham, 16:26, February 6, 2009 ,
Former Fulham midfielder Leon Andresen said he had to leave and join Hannover to save his international career.
The 25-year-old made just nine starts in his year-long stint at Craven Cottage after completing a £2million move from Werder Bremen last January.
The Dane was not called up to represent his country in the time he spent in west London and after a conversation with his national manager Morten Olsen felt he needed to move on.
"Morten Olsen told me I would have to move on if I am not in Roy Hodgson's plans," he told Kicker
"This move will also have an effect on my Denmark career."
