Bolton craven over Cottage link

Fulham, 12:32, October 14, 2008 ,

Bolton Wanderers have denied they are preparing a renewed bid for Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard.

Reports at the weekend suggested Trotters boss Gary Megson would renew his interest in the ex-Wigan Athletic star in the New Year.
Bullard has been widely claimed to be unsettled at the club after not being offered a new contract in line with his status as a player recently called into Fabio Capello's England squad, while rumours also persist about him wanting to go back north.
Megson admitted he made a move for the 29-year-old in August - and was rumoured to be set to make a fresh offer for the £4million-rated player in the January transfer window.
But a Wanderers spokesman has told The Bolton News that the club are no longer pursuing the Cottagers star.
