Cottage ace eyes successful season

Aaron Hughes predicts Fulham will enjoy a successful season after making an encouraging start to the campaign.

The Cottagers routed Norwich 5-0 on the opening day of the Barclays Premier League and pushed Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday before succumbing 3-2. They face Sheffield Wednesday in Tuesday's Capital One Cup second-round clash at Hillsborough with Hughes delighted by the balance of the team. "We did really well against Norwich and there's a lot we can take from the Man Utd game too," Hughes told the club's official website. "It's been a good start but there's a long way to go yet. "We're solid at the back, have players with a lot of creativity in midfield and up front we can score goals - it's a nice balance. "With that in mind, looking ahead, we could have a good season."
