Cottagers consider Bent swoop
Darren Bent has been linked with a move to Fulham but the Cottagers are reluctant to match Aston Villa's £8million price-tag.
Bent joined Villa in a £24million deal in January 2011 from Sunderland but failed to secure regular first-team football under Paul Lambert last season and is set to move on in the summer.
The Birmingham Mail have suggested Villa will listen to offers in the region of £8million for the forward but it remains to be seen if any suitor will match that figure given the fact that Bent hardly featured in the latter half of the 2012/13 campaign.
Fulham are reportedly interested in Bent, who is thought to favour a move to London, but the Cottagers are hesitant to bid more than £4million for the striker.
