Fulham ace set to be in demand

Fulham, 15:06, February 15, 2009 ,

Roy Hodgson admits Fulham are likely to face stiff competition for Olivier Dacourt if they try and sign him permanently in the summer.

The midfielder is on loan at Craven Cottage until the end of the season but his contract with Inter Milan expires in the summer and he could then earn a permanent move from Italy for free.
The former Leeds and Everton star, now 34, has impressed Hodgson so far upon his return to England and the boss admits there could be significant competition from other clubs, both here and abroad, for his services come the summer.
"We realised we had him on loan until the end of the season, by which point his contract will have run out," Hodgson told the Daily Star Sunday.
"I think we will face competition for him - certainly if he does well while he is here."
Meanwhile, Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo claims Fulham are interested in him along with several other Premier League sides.
The 23-year-old Spaniard is highly rated and has caught the attention of plenty of scouts with his performances for his side this season.
