Hodgson outlines priorities

Fulham, 11:04, December 4, 2009

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has admitted the Premier League is his top priority but is still hopeful of progressing in the Europa League.

Fulham's 1-0 win over Bulgarian outfit CSKA Sofia on Thursday night means they can still qualify for the knock-out stages of the competition - providing they beat Swiss side Basle in Switzerland on December 16.
However, Hodgson has admitted he views the league as the top priority but still believes Fulham have the strength in depth to make it through to the next round.
"The Premier League is the major concern and the Europa League comes second to that," said Hodgson.
"I don't think the fans will hold anything against us for our performances in this competition. They know when we go to Basle we will be doing our very best.
"We are still trying to do the best we can, the players will be trying hard to get us through and that was evident against CSKA, personified by people like Simon Davies, Zoltan Gera and Bobby Zamora."
