Injury concerns for Hodgson
Fulham, 15:25, February 17, 2009 ,
Dickson Etuhu is out of Fulham's trip to Manchester United while Paul Konchesky and Andrew Johnson are both doubts.
Etuhu has not played since the clash with Wigan on February 7 and Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson has ruled the midfielder out of the trip to Old Trafford.
Striker Johnson and defender Konchesky, meanwhile, will both have late fitness tests after they picked up minor strains in the 1-1 draw at Swansea in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Hodgson said: "Dickson Etuhu hasn't recovered so he won't be taking part in the game. After the match on Saturday we had one or two minor injury problems and a couple of players will be having fitness tests before we leave on Wednesday - Konchesky and Johnson.
"They got through the game on Saturday but I couldn't say about their chances of playing against United.
"They're both suffering from muscle injuries which are minor strains which they've been playing through.
"It's a question between myself and the medical staff about the risks involved, can they play the game, get through the game and still be fit for the weekend and the games that come after that?
"We've got so many games coming up now and we're in the same situation as the Champions League teams in the next couple of weeks but we don't have the same squad as a Champions League team."
Hodgson appears confident, however, that his injury worries will ease ahead of the game against the in-form champions.
"We've got injury concerns but hopefully the majority of the squad will be fit. We'll see on Wednesday morning and I'll have an update on their conditions before we leave," he added.
