Kerim Frei has confirmed that he is fit following a pelvic injury and is looking to get back into the Fulham starting XI very soon.

The Turkey international, who enjoyed a productive campaign at Craven Cottage last term with 25 appearances under his belt, suffered the injury while playing for his country. And, having not yet featured in this relatively new season, Frei has revealed that he was back in training at Mostpur Park last week and is now looking to build up his fitness levels to challenge for a place in boss Martin Jol's first-team plans. "Last week on Thursday I started training again," he told fulhamfc.com. "We've been making sure that I didn't come back too fast in case the injury came back. We did some little games on Tuesday - three lots of 20 minutes - and everything was fine so hopefully I will be back in the team soon. "I missed playing football very much, I missed having the ball at my feet and things like that but I'm very happy to be back and I'm looking forward to playing my part in the season ahead."
