Kamara closes in on comeback

Fulham, 13:46, February 1, 2009 ,

Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara has targeted a March return to action in what will be a major boost to boss Roy Hodgson.

Kamara has been on the sidelines recovering from a serious cruciate knee ligament injury and has not been able to play all season for the Cottagers.
However, the Senegal international has now revealed he is closing in on a return to action and hopes to be involved for the final two months of the season.
He said: "I have been out for a long time, but my rehabilitation is going well. I am starting to run and in about a month I hope to play again."
Substitute Eric Nevland hit two goals for Hodgson's side in Saturday's 3-1 win over Portsmouth while the boss also has in-form Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora to choose from up front - something Kamara is well aware of.
"The strikers are very good players so there will be competition for places," he added.
