Frampton named Gills skipper
Latest news update:
Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler has confirmed Andy Frampton will be his captain for the forthcoming campaign.
The 31-year-old defender wore the armband during Tuesday evening's friendly with Leyton Orient and has been rewarded with the job full-time."We've made a decision - Framps will be the new captain," Hessenthaler told the club's official website."Andy is very experienced, he has captained before and will lead by example on the pitch."Framps is an organiser, he doesn't mess around in the dressing room either, he'll tell you how it is and he'll tell the players if they are not doing it."He'll even pick up the kit and put it in the skip to help out the kitman because he's been brought up the right way - I like that and the lads have all bought into that too."
