Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler insists his side will keep fighting for a play-off place after their impressive 3-1 victory over Swindon.
Danny Kedwell's header and two Chris Whelpdale goals - the second from the penalty spot - earned the Gills a vital three points, while Alan McCormack scored Swindon's reply.
Hessenthaler's men are now four points off a play-off place with two games remaining.
"All we can do is go to Northampton and win there, and it might go down to the last game of the season where we'll need to win again," he said. "Anything could happen. Winning has given us another opportunity for next week.
"We don't do things easy here over the years. We set out to get promoted like last year but we missed out.
"This year it's going to be a tough ask. We're disappointed we haven't got in the top three but I think it's a very thin line between success and failure. We're a good side but we haven't been consistent enough, we have had injury problems but we haven't been consistent enough to make the top three."
