Casey hails "fantastic" victory

Paul Casey admitted he has always wanted to win the PGA Championship after claiming the trophy by one shot at Wentworth on Sunday.

The 31-year-old led Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen by three shots going into the final round but it was fellow Englishman Ross Fisher who provided the stiffest opposition during the final 18 holes.
Fisher carded a bogey-free 64 to finish on 16-under par and leave Casey needing three birdies in the final four holes to claim his third victory of the year.
The Ryder Cup star needed a birdie on the last but found the bunker, leaving himself and up-and-down for the title.
However Casey sunk the putt to finish on -17 and claim the European Tour's flagship event.
Kjeldsen finished four behind Casey while Stephen Dodd came fourth on 12 under and Rory McIlroy's challenge faded as he finished seven shots back on 10-under.
Casey began the year ranked outside the top 40 and he was full of praise for the help he has received on his way back to the top 10.
"It was not an easy putt at the last, but any putt to win is something I would like to have," he said. "There are great names on this trophy and it feels great. A lot of people have put in a lot of work, but I have to thank Peter Kostis, my coach in the States.
"He's more than a coach and we set some lofty goals at the start of the year."
And the Cheltenham-born star stressed how proud he was to claim a trophy that means so mush to the players on the European Tour.
"The BMW PGA Championship is our flagship event on the European Tour and I've always wanted to get my hands on this trophy," he added. "This feels fantastic."
