Daly blasts Woods' knockers

US golfer John Daly feels fellow professionals should rally behind troubled star Tiger Woods and stop criticising the world number one.

Woods has not been seen in public since his high-profile car accident in Florida and has made no comment after the statement he released apologising to his family for "transgressions."
The tabloids have been full of women confessing to 'affairs' with the 14-time major winner over the past few days and several top players have blasted Woods for his behaviour.
Swedish star Jesper Parnevik was very vocal in his condemnation of the 33-year-old, as he had introduced Woods to his wife, Elin, saying he would "give Mrs Woods an apology" for getting the pair together when he sees her next.
But Daly, himself no stranger to off-course controversy, feels that fellow players should remember what Woods has done for the game before they pass judgement.
"I wish them the best. I'm not too happy with what some players have said," he said. "Golf needs him. Because of Tiger is why we're playing for so much money.
"Golf needs Tiger more than any other player that's ever played golf. With his record and the way he plays, he just brings people out and he raises the bar for all of us to play better golf as well when he's out there. "
