Ernie Els says he's delighted to be back competing on links layouts ahead this weekend's Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
The 42-year-old's last trip to the seaside saw him upset the odds by winning the Open Championship at Royal Lytham and St Annes, the fourth major title of his career.
This week's event sees the players each play a round at St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie, before returning to the Old Course for the final day.
Despite his success in the Open, the South African has never won this tournament but is hopeful his game can come together this week.
"It's great to be back," Els said. "Nice to see the sun shining. I haven't played links obviously since July, so I'm really looking forward to catching up with friends and hopefully playing good golf.
"It's nice to come back to links golf, come back to Scotland, and who knows - it might just click here this week," he added.
