Ricardo Santos shot a sensational final round of 63 to capture the Madeira Islands Open on Sunday.

The win gives Portugal their first European Tour title in 20 years and came in fine style as the 29-year-old pegged back a four-shot overnight deficit after third-round leader Carlos Del Moral blew the tournament wide open by dropping four shots in two holes as he approached the turn.
Santos seized the initiative, carding nine birdies and no bogeys in his final round, to finish four shots ahead of second-placed Magnus Carlsson at Santo De Serra.
The Portuguese star was understandably emotional after the win and says the fact he won his maiden tournament on home soil makes it all the more special.
"It is very emotional and I haven't got the words to describe how I feel," Santos told the European Tour website. "To win my first European Tour event in my own country is very special.
"It was a sensational round, definitely the best of my career. It was amazing to have the crowds here supporting me and it would be difficult to imagine a better win than this."
