Swede success in Canada for Petterson

Six final round birdies in eight holes from Sweden's Carl Pettersson helped him secure a one shot win in the Canadian Open.

American Dean Wilson looked on course to lift the title when he went into Sunday's play with a four-shot lead over the field. However Petterson, who shot a tournament-record 60 in Saturday's third round, started his amazing run of birdies at the eighth to put him in the driving seat.
The Swede did bogey the 18th, but he had already done enough to wrap up the title as he finished on a 14-under par total just ahead of Wilson. Britain's Luke Donald held on to his place in the Ryder Cup squad for October's clash against the United States with a third-placed finish on 12-under.
However the day belonged to Petterson, whose fourth PGA Tour win and secures him a place at next month's US PGA at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin and the 2011 Masters.
