Greece boss pleased with exploits
Greece boss Fernando Santos has praised his side's efforts at Euro 2012 following their defeat to Germany on Friday.
The Ethniki were expected to be eliminated from the competition in the group stages but caused a major upset by beating Russia to make it through to the quarter-finals. However, despite a spirited display in the last eight against Germany, they were easily outclassed but Santos believes the experience will stand his players in good stead. "I have to congratulate my players for their efforts," he said. "The mental [strength] and the passion we displayed in our games is what we want to remember from this tournament."
