Defender eyes Accies progress

Martin Canning, who has signed a new one-year contract, believes Hamilton can build on their ninth place SPL finish next season.
The defender was rewarded for a solid campaign with a new 12-month deal and Canning, who was signed by Accies in September after being released by Hibs, feels there is more to come from Billy Reid's men.
Speaking to the Hamilton Advertiser, the 27-year-old said: "I think it's worthwhile and I'm pleased because it's been a good season and hopefully we can push on even further next term.
"Finishing ninth is massive for Hamilton and for ourselves. Staying in the league was the more important target, but after we had secured that it was all about finishing as high as we could."
